5 Designer from Saint-Etienne exhibited at the 2017 Shenzhen Design Week

Five designer from Saint-Etienne were present for the First Shenzhen Design week from 21 to 28 April 2017 on the thematic “Design for the future”: Fabien Barrero- Carsenat, Alix Briffaud, Cahen & Gregori, Bruno Lefebvre and Philippe Moine.

Chosen by the City of Design to represent the city of Saint-Etienne, their objects were shown at the  flagship exhibition “Cities of Design” organized by the Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Association (SZDPA), which brought together, industrial design and textile design of UNESCO Creative Cities such as Montreal, Nagoya, Saint-Etienne, Dundee, Turin, Puebla, Detroit and Singapore.

This opportunity has, among others, benefitted the young graduate designer from Saint-Etienne, Fabien Barrero-Carsenat, who participated to the forum “Cities of Design” in Shenzhen from 21 to 28 April. He could show his work to the design week audience and have met the other designers and coordinators of the UNESCO Cities of Design invited for the occasion. From these meetings and this travel to Shenzhen – practical work experience has been shared, gallery and future collaborations contacts has been made.
