On 10 October, UNESCO Creative Cities in Spain held a first meeting at the headquarters of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), linked to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Madrid, with representatives from five of the seven Spanish member cities taking part. The event was attended by Bilbao (Design), Burgos (Gastronomy), Dénia (Gastronomy) Granada (Literature) and Terrassa (Film).
The strategic plan for Terrassa City of Film for 2018 aims at strengthening the relationships with other Creative Cities, in order to learn from their experience. This is why, last March, the representatives of the Local Audio-visual Board of Terrassa visited the city of Bradford under the guidance of the Bradford City of Film’s team, led by Steve Abbot and David Wilson.
Following the designation of Terrassa as a Creative City of Film, the Audiovisual Board of Stakeholders organized an ensemble of events to celebrate the event with the citizens and to raise awareness about the Network’s mission and its embeddedness in the UNESCO values.
