From 10 to 16 October, the City of Torino is organizing, as a Creative City of Design, a series of events and activities in line with Turin World Design Organization 30th General Assembly.
“Torino Design of the City”, one of the most important gatherings in the sector, aims to raise the interest of citizens, professionals – national and international players – on all aspects about design such as sustainable urban mobility and design-thinking in public policies.
Until 31 August, Torino Creative City of Design, led by the organization Torino Design, opens its call for projects for the Automotive Talent Award. While celebrating its 10th anniversary, Torino Design takes the occasion to promote and reward the most innovative projects of young designers, up to the age of 25, highlighting the interaction between human beings and cars.
From 4th to 8th December 2015, Torino will officially present itself as a UNESCO Creative City, in the field of Design.
During the event, Torino will share to the city audience all design experiences of the city through meetings, workshops and exhibitions. All design schools, museums, archives will be opened especially for this event and specific design exhibithions will take place. Many creative city representatives, experts, professors and authorities will be there to lead meetings and workshops.
The "Salon du livre" is the second largest literature event in the world after the Frankfurt Book Fair. It combines large-scale promotion of reading with industry events. Since 1981, close to 200,000 people visit the stands at Salon du livre every spring, where nearly 1200 publishers from 25 countries exhibit their offer in the 55,000 m² exhibition center, the Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris.
