The citizens of Terrassa celebrated the city’s designation as UNESCO Creative City of Film
Following the designation of Terrassa as a Creative City of Film, the Audiovisual Board of Stakeholders organized an ensemble of events to celebrate the event with the citizens and to raise awareness about the Network’s mission and its embeddedness in the UNESCO values.
On January 19th, the Audiovisual Park of Catalonia hosted an institutional ceremony followed by a popular celebration at the Terrassa’s Old Square to inform the citizens about the projects of the city as a Creative City of Film and to engage them as an active part of the initiative. The celebrations included live concerts of film soundtracks; video presentations about the history of Terrassa as a city of film; photo exhibitions relative to iconic characters of cinema as well as the presence of characters of famous film saga livening the party up.
Furthermore, on February 21st, the Catalonia Film Library organized in Barcelona a roundtable of experts to exchange and share experiences about the future development of the film sector, which was accompanied by an enjoyable screening of a collection of short films filmed in Terrassa.
