The XII Annual Meeting of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) opened yesterday in Krakow and Katowice, Poland, joint hosts and Creative Cities of Literature and Music respectively, from 12 to 15 June.
More than 350 delegates, including 40 mayors, representing the 180 cities of the Network are attending the meeting, whose theme is “creative crossroads”, celebrating the collaborative spirit which lies at the core of the UCCN, and drives member cities’ local and international action.
Krakow and Katowice, respectively Creative Cities of Literature and Music in Poland, and also jointly referred to as Krakowice, will be hosting the XII UCCN Annual Meeting from 12 to 15 June 2018.
From 2 to 30 November, the Creative City of Krakow (Poland) led by the Krakow Festival Office, and the e-book platform Woblink.com, are organizing for the fifth time “ReadPL”, a unique flagship initiative that combines literature and new technology.
Following the success of its first edition, LIM (Less is More), the European platform for project development of limited budget features films, has launched its 2018 call for applications, offering to a new generation of talented filmmakers, as well as artists of all kinds – from theatre, documentary and visual arts – the opportunity of designing their own limited budget film project.
