The 2015 edition of Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents is opened!

The second edition of Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (SZ+DAY) is launched on 1st July 2015. Dedicated to recognizing successful or potential young designers from all UNESCO Creative Cities, the theme of Award this year is Transformation: the Mission of Design.

In association and cooperation with UNESCO Creative Cities Network, Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Office and Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Association (SDPA) warmly invite international young designers from the 69 city members of the Network to participate in this competition which is opened until the 31 October 2015.

The purpose of SZ+DAY is to reward the efforts of young designers, who, through their creativity, have contributed to the enhancement of environmental sustainability, social and economic development and, above all, quality of lives in cities. The Award aims to encourage exchange between young talents from different countries, cooperation between creative cities, and the sharing of experiences and ideas for developing creative and cultural industries. Focused on design thinking, concepts and products as contributors to the transformation of economies and society, the Award will promote the value of creativity and the cultural industries.
