Alexandra Ochirova was designated UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in June 2012, in recognition of her efforts to raise public awareness on UNESCO’s universal message.

As Chair of the International Women Center “Women’s Future”, she assists vulnerable social groups in the Russian Federation by providing medical and social assistance. Founded in 1990, the Center participates in various charity events and international conferences on humanitarian issues, as well as on the situation of women and children in modern society.

In her capacity as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Ms Ochirova supports UNESCO’s activities undertaken in the field of Gender Equality.

In May 2015, she participated in a forum entitled "A world culture as a resource for sustainable development" which took place at the Moscow Academy of Fine Arts.
