Her Royal Highness the Princess of Hanover

Her Royal Highness the Princess of Hanover was appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in December 2003, in recognition of her commitment to child and family protection, and her contribution to the promotion of UNESCO’s programmes for the education of girls and women.

In her capacity as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, the Princess of Hanover contributed in 2006 to UNESCO's project "Strengthening Women's Capacity to Promote Children's Education in Rural Areas in Burkina Faso". This project aimed ensuring education for all and guaranteeing greater autonomy for women in the poorest remote rural areas of Burkina Faso.

As part of UNESCO's activities in Niger, H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover contributed to the project "Human Rights and Education to Combat Poverty in Niger".
