Photo Exhibition "Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads"

The exhibition "Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads" and the photo album "Youth Lens on the Silk Roads" will be officially launched following the film screening and roundtable on the "Women of the Silk Road" on 3 April 2019 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The photo exhibition will last until 12 April 2019.

UNESCO organised in 2018 an international photo contest "Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads" to raise awareness among youth about the relevance of the shared heritage of the Silk Roads.

From this contest, the "Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads" travelling photo exhibition presenting the best photos of the contest was developed. After having been shown in Afghanistan, China, Oman, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, this will be the sixth time that this travelling photo exhibition will be shown at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

In addition, a professionally bound collection of images showcasing the best submitted photos was published in February 2019. The photo album "Youth Lens on the Silk Roads" aims to reflect the diversity of youth’s perspectives and impressions on the shared heritage of the Silk Roads.
