Ex-minister harps on importance of quality education
former Minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, on Thursday said quality and relevant education were necessary for transformation of a country.
Vision developed for Education Workforce Strategy
A cross-sector Governance Group, co-designing the education workforce strategy that will help ensure all New Zealand ākonga thrive in the education system of 2032, has released its shared vision.
The vision outlines the desired future state for our education workforce, and sets the foundation for the Education Workforce Strategy being developed by July, 2019.
The strategy will define the unique role of the teacher and the support and other roles, technology and support systems likely to be required out to the year 2032. An action plan is to be developed by September, 2019, which will map out the career paths needed for the education workforce of the future.
