Celle-ci entraine notamment une faible participation des enseignants vivants avec le VIH dans les efforts de prévention, une formation insuffisante des enseignants, ainsi qu'un manque de prise en charge des orphelins et un accès limité aux soins pour les personnes séro positives.
Cette étude comprend une analyse de l'impact de l'épidémie du VIH/Sida sur le système éducatif ; des propositions d'interventions pour atténuer ces impacts et lutter contre le VIH/Sida dans le secteur de l'éducation ;un aperçu des initiatives internationales et nationales mises en oeuvre pour répondre à cette problématique de développement de l'éducation dans un contexte d'épidémie de VIH/Sida.

This study puts forward ideas for improving children's learning against the background of the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic such as linking younger and older children in support programmes and providing tailored materials for students who have to miss school.
