Sudan and UNESCO Signed an Agreement for Supporting the Project on Promoting Vocational Education in Kassala and Gedaref funded by GIZ

On 31 January 2019, the UNESCO Representative to Sudan, H.E. Dr. Pavel Kroupkine, and the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Media, Information and Communication Technologies, H.E. Amb. Elobeid Morawah, signed an Agreement for supporting the Project on Promoting Vocational Education in Kassala and Gedaref, funded by GIZ. The ceremony was honored by the General Secretary of the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Dr. Abdulgadir Noureddin, the Director of the Department of International Organizations in the Ministry of Foreign Affaires, Amb. Kamal Gubara, the First Secretary of the German Embassy, Ms. Janine Rohwer, and other distinguished officers.

The Project targets to raise awareness among youth of the Gedaref and Kassala towns about the available Vocational Education, about opportunities, which it gives to people for improving their livelihood, about value of acquiring working skills needed to other people, community and the society in general.
