Special World Philosophy Day event to present the outcome of the digitization of the sound archives of the Collège international de philosophie in collaboration with the Institut national de l'audiovisuel (INA).

This special event will present the outcome of the digitization of the sound archives of the Collège international de philosophie, which will make available to a general audience thousands of hours of interventions by many of the most famous international philosophers of the 1980s and 90s.

Created in 1983 by François Châtelet, Jacques Derrida, Jean-Pierre Faye and Dominique Lecourt, CiPh owns an oral memory of thousand of hours of voice recordings; speeches and debates of the major voices of French and foreign philosophers. These archives will be released across Paris from 16 November 2018.

The event will include excerpts from the archives and a round table with Isabelle Alfandary, Judith BUTLER, Jean-Luc NANCY, Bernard STIEGLER.
