UNESCO Offices in Beirut, Cairo and Rabat are organizing a 2-day meeting on “Coordination and Knowledge platform among ETTC partners in the Arab region”, in Beirut, from 3 to 4 April 2019.

Capacity-building in bioethics education in the form of Ethics Teachers’ Training Courses (ETTC) has been implemented worldwide through the training of several ethics teachers.

With the participation of ETTC partners (host universities and trainers) from the Arab region, it aims to:
1) Collect experiences of the Bioethics Core Curriculum adaptation
2) Review the process/ mechanism of drafting, publishing and disseminating “regional case studies”
3) Discuss modalities and plan online and face-to-face knowledge networking

ETTC promote UNESCO's unique tool on “Bioethics Core Curriculum” developed around the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights (2005). The series of face-to-face trainings in the regions in partnership with many local universities also provided ideas of collaboration to support bioethics education.

The meeting targets a group of 30 partners of ETTC from the region.
