Building peace in the minds of men and women

Tune in today for the Airbus Fly Your Ideas Final!

16 May 2017

Five international student teams, representing 8 universities and 10 countries, will present their innovative projects for the future of aviation today at 18:00 -20:30 CET, streamed live on Facebook. Follow the event live! You will be able to ask questions, support your favourite team and send them your encouragement.

The five finalist teams embody true diversity, which is a key driver of innovation and performance. Their inventive ideas, which were selected from over 350 entries, cover a wide range of innovations going from an alternative to satellite imagery, to improved aircraft taxiing, clever ways of boarding, new areas for luggage storage or offering a new business model using existing Airbus aircraft.

The winners will be announced live tomorrow (17 May) at 11:30 CET.

The fifth edition of Airbus’ Fly Your Ideas global challenge is organised in partnership with UNESCO. The competition offers a unique opportunity for students worldwide, working in diverse teams of 3-5 members, to develop valuable skills, including teamwork, project management, communications and presentation, and to get involved in engineering.
