    This is a report of a survey conducted to reassess the level of awareness of HIV/AIDS and the use of HIV/AIDS prevention methods among teachers and other workers in the education sector in Ghana. The present survey is a follow-up to a similar survey conducted in 2007 to assess the level of awareness of the disease in the education sector and the needs of teachers and educational workers living with HIV or AIDS.

    This paper reports preliminary findings on how a primary teacher-training college in Kenya is preparing teacher trainees to teach about HIV/AIDS. Included are features of the Kenya education system. The aim of the study was to understand the preparation of teachers to teach about HIV/AIDS by exploring both teacher-trainers' and trainees' preparedness.   3. Dominica Association of Teachers policy on HIV/AIDS for the teaching profession

    The objectives of this policy are: to ensure a supportive work environment for staff infected and affected by HIV/AIDS; to eliminate stigma and discrimination in the workplace on the basis of real or perceived HIV status or vulnerability to HIV infection; to reduce the number of new infections among teachers, their families and to ensure that the rights of teachers living with HIV/AIDS are fully respected.
