This national Multi-Sectoral Strategic Framework (NMSF) on HIV/AIDS will translate the National Policy of HIV/AIDS by providing strategic guidance to the planning of programmes, projects and interventions by various stakeholders in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Building on two elements, the dynamics and determinants of the HIV/AIDS situation in Tanzania, and the achievements of the past and experiences gained in fighting the epidemic in the last 16 years, this document provides the structure, mission, guiding principles and goals forall future programmes and interventions to be put in place by the different stakeholders. It also contains a Monitoring and Evaluation System to measure progress towards the goals as well as the institutional / coordination and financial frameworks of the National Response.
