Gap between preferred and actual birth intervals in Sub-Saharan Africa : implications for fertility and child health
The report presents findings from the second round of the Cambodian Behavioral Surveillance Survey (BSS) completed in June 1998 as well as some important differences in the levels of reported behaviour from the BSSI (1997) to the BSS II (1998). The BSSII was conducted in the provinces in Cambodia to track sexual behaviour changes in Cambodia.
The purpose of the reproductive health survey was to gather information on fertility, infant and child mortality, family planning and maternal and child health to help in the execution and evaluation of the National Reproductive Health Programme which is carried out by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare with support from UNFPA.

This issue of Asia-Pacific Population & Policy highlights findings from recent East-West Center study on demographic and social changes among young people in Asia.
