    Bulgaria is still a country with low HIV prevalence in the general population. However, the country faces a great challenge related to the possibility of rapid development of concentrated epidemics in separate group identified as most-at-risk (mainly among injecting drug users, men who have sex with men and sex workers).     This is a model Law on HIV in Southern Africa, made by members of SADC Parliamentary Forum. It is a guide to legislative efforts on HIV-related issues in Southern Africa.   5. HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment in Prisons in the South-East Asia Region

    This review of four countries including India, Indonesia, Nepal and Thailand shows that very few interventions have been implemented in prisons for the prevention, care and treatment of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, despite a higher prevalence of HIV among those incarcerated. It highlights that such services are not only feasible in resource-poor settings, but also provides some excellent examples of innovative and positive action that can be taken to arrest the spread of HIV in prisons.

    This is the sixth NHDR produced since 1998. The theme of the 2007 edition is the HIV and AIDS pandemic. The report looks carefully at general status of HIV and AIDS in Mozambique, its different facets and causes, its historical evolution, how it is regarded by society and its potential impact on the public and private sectors. The report finds that HIV and AIDS are exacerbating the problems of poverty, malnutrition, low educational levels and gender disparities, thus threatening the attainment of the MDGs as well as slowing growth and development.
