Every school in the world can apply to become a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet). It is a network of pre-primary, primary, secondary and vocational schools, as well as teacher training institutions, which are committed to promote UNESCO’s ideals, values and priorities and willing to contribute proactively to a more just, peaceful, inclusive and sustainable world, in line with the UNESCO ASPnet Guides for National Coordinators and for members, and the objectives of the ASPnet Strategy 2014-2021

If your institution is interested in becoming an ASPnet member, you should:

1. Familiarize yourself with UNESCO, the Network and its activities

2. Contact the ASPnet National Coordinator in your country and consult with her/him

 3. Ensure that the school leadership, teaching body and student representatives of your school/institution are in agreement with the decision to apply.

Then, you can complete and submit the Expression of Interest Form below.  When you submit the Form, it is sent to the ASPnet National Coordinator of your country for review, and to determine whether your school meets the criteria for joining the Network.

You will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt and in due time, you will be informed about the results of the review. Once the full application process at country level is completed, UNESCO is responsible for the final decision on admissions to membership and for certification.
