A synthesis of best practices in TVET quality assurance in selected South Asian countries

Abstract:  Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) plays a pivotal role in economies of South Asian countries and needs rational and effective mechanisms to deal with the challenges and provide education and readiness for the world of work in formal, non-formal and informal labour markets.

This publication was compiled on the basis of a workshop held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in February 2017, as well as research and input from workshop participants.

The publications gives an overview of practices and approaches in quality assurance of TVET systems and qualifications at the national level in a number of South Asian countries. It focuses on comparative analysis with the aim of highlighting mutual learning points, especially in terms of innovations and best practices in quality assurance.
