Kenneth Barrientos

Programme Officer

Ken joined UNESCO-UNEVOC in 2013 as a Programme Officer. She is responsible for assisting the Head of Office in programme and project development, implementation, monitoring and supporting programme-related and thematic strategies. Thematically, she contributes to UNEVOC’s work on Education for Sustainable Development, in particular, greening TVET and is responsible for managing and coordinating programmes including the development of institutional tools and knowledge resources in this thematic area of work of UNEVOC. Ken also supports ICT in TVET programme of UNEVOC.

Ken coordinates and acts as the Regional Focal Point for the UNEVOC Asia-Pacific Network and coordinates network research projects of UNEVOC with other UNEVOC Centres. Prior to joining, Ken worked with UNESCO’s Asia-Pacific Education for Innovation and Development (APEID) Programme at its Regional Bureau for Education in Bangkok, Thailand. She also worked at Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education (CPSC) in Manila, Philippines and the International Coral Reef Initiative Secretariat hosted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Government of the Philippines. She holds a Master degree in Public Administration.
