 | 11 December 2014Students of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria invent Lite-pop (solar public light)A group of Yaba College of Technology students took part in the first Lagos Inventergy Challenge and invented what is called Lite-pop - a solar public light. The Lite-pop is an environmental solution kit which intends to solve city environmental issues like: Street Lightning, calculating the amount of humidity, temperature, sound, CO2, NO2 and Solar. Team Lite-pop participated in the 2014 Lagos State Inventergy Challenge and won 2nd position in the competition. The challenge is a platform designed to showcase innovative products and services within the energy sector in Lagos State towards the possible integration into the local economy. ( more) |

She is mentoring students through her water hyacinth project, to turn the invasive plant into a money maker, training them on how to make different eco-friendly hand craft, biogas and animal feed from the plant.
