Bills for Review

The Government of Dominica through the National Health Commission is in the process of enacting the following Legislation:     

- Dominica Hospitals Authority Bill

- Medical Professions Bill

- Nursing Bill

- Pharmacy Bill

Prior to the passage of these pieces of Legislation it is necessary to have the views of the members of the public on these bills.

Grant for First Time Home Owners

Eligibility Criteria for Grants to First Time Home Owners

  1.  Individuals must be under the age of forty (40) years (proof of age required) evidence in presentation of passport, birth certificate or Social Security Card.
  2. Individuals annual income must be less than One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) evidenced by presentation of payment slip or letter from employer
  3. Individuals must be first time owners of a home, evidenced by letter from Village Council Chairperson or Justice of the Peace where the individual resides.
  4. Individuals must present a copy of the approval from the Planning Division for construction of the house and must also present evidence of commencement of construction of the house.
  5. Individuals must present evidence that financing for construction or purchase of the house has been secured
  6. Individuals intending to purchase a new home from someone must present evidence of intent to sell from the seller

For grant of XCD10,00.00 to assist with purchase of building materials or purchase of homes for residents age 40 years or under.  All interested person meeting the criteria must complete the form below.
