- Born in the Bahamas in 1937.

- Education: Graduated from Central State College, Ohio, with Chemistry major and minor in Biology; graduated from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tenn.

- Professional experience: Served in the 1st Majority Rule Parliament. Commissioner of Sports in 1967. Served in the Senate and resigned voluntarily. In 1968 served as member of the Constitutional Reform Delegation in London.

- Founding member of the Free National Movement and served as its first chairman. Has practiced General Medicine for the entire period of his political and civic career, and has published numerous articles and studies in the fields of Chemistry, Biology and Medicine.
