El Estado de Chile cuenta con un currículum de educación media técnico profesional conforme a las actuales exigencias económicas, productivas y sociales. este curriculum busca articular la educación técnica en todos sus niveles educacionales.
En el contexto señalado, los desafíos a enfrentar son: perfeccionamiento docente, equipamiento de los liceos con maquinaria y tecnología de punta, articulación de niveles formativos e implementación curricular.

In most cases, the programmes introduce targeting tools or eligibility criteria that limit service provision to the more disadvantaged youth, including age, being unemployed or underemployed, and not being enrolled in the formal school system.
