Entrepreneurial learning

Overview

© Worldbank / Eric Miller
While one of the main goals of education is to prepare students for their participation in the labour market, many education institutions have poor linkages to the world of work. Entrepeneurial learning promotes entrepreneurship and is about providing people with an entrepreneurial mindset. In this regard, the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre promotes the development of entrepreneurial and generic skills in TVET through its various activities.

Through entrepreneurship education, people can learn to be innovative as well as the skills needed to successfully manage growth in small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Entrepreneurship curricula might cover issues such as generating innovative business ideas, business and strategic planning, finance, marketing, and the use of information and communications technologies (ICTs) to achieve better business results.
