March 26th - 29th 2018, the UNESCO Documentation & Advisory Services (UDAS) Workshop 4 was organised in Beirut & Baalbek. The event took place in the framework of the Baalbek & Tyre Archaeological Project (BTAP), part of the Cultural Heritage & Urban Development (CHUD).

This edition was specifically organised to discuss the conservation works on the colonnade of the temple of Jupiter in Baalbek planned in the framework of BTAP II. In the present report, comments and recommendations are made on the on-going and future works of stone conservation and on the proposed structural interventions. They are based on the analysis of the documents sent
by CDR through UNESCO – for the present and previous workshops –, on observations made during the two days of visit of the site and on discussions engaged during the workshop in Beirut and Baalbek. Comments are also made on the structural and surface conservation measures completed in the framework of BTAP I and on the presentation measured planned in the framework of BTAP II.
