Avant-premiere screening of the film, “Baghdad Station”, by Mohamed Jabarah Al-Daradji (Iraq)

In the context of activities concerning post-conflict situations and the implementation of “the Strategy for Reinforcing UNESCO’s Action for the Protection of Culture and the Promotion of Cultural Pluralism in the Event of Armed Conflict”, UNESCO, in partnership with the Permanent Delegation of Iraq to UNESCO, is organizing an avant-premiere screening of the film "Baghdad Station".

Synopsis: Baghdad 2006. Sara goes to Baghdad Central Station with the intention of committing a suicide bombing. A fatal project that will be compromised by her chance encounter with Salam, a charming salesman, talkative and confident. As he becomes hostage to Sara's confused plan, Salam tries, by all means, to break down her determination. He appeals to her humanity to save his life of course, but also the lives of passers-by, unaware of the danger that lies before them.
