Enhancing market access for film students from Uzbekistan

 

The UNESCO Office in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) is organizing a study tour to Poland from 11 to 19 May 2019 for students from the FOCUS Film School.

The Study Tour will seek to enhance cooperation between Uzbek and Polish institutions and organizations in the field of the film industry, in particular between the “Focus Film School” in Uzbekistan and Polish film institutions, such as the Wajda Film School, the Lodz Film School and others.

The tour will include master-classes at Polish films schools and studios, as well as visits to public and private educational institutions and meetings with representatives of the Polish film sector. Its overall objective is to promote the development and promotion of the film industry in Uzbekistan, foster international cooperation and facilitate market access.

The project "Development of Creative Industries for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions-Strengthening the Sustainability of the Film Industry in Uzbekistan” was launched in 2017 and is being implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Korea.
