Web version of iSDG Model and SDG Architect Board Game Launched at the Palais de Nations

MI presented the new web-based version of the iSDG® Model to Heads of Permanent Missions and permanent observer offices to the United Nations at the Palais de Nations in Geneva, Switzerland in November. The SDG Architect™ board game was also launched during the event.

Planning for a new era of hope and prosperity in the Sahel

MI is collaborating with the UN Economic Commission for Africa in the process developing a revised of United Nations Integrated Strategy for the Sahel (UNISS) that is consistent with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, and will  accelerate socio-economic development and progress towards the SDGs.

Millennium Institute (MI) participated in a week-long United Nations organized workshop in Guinea Bissau in early October, aimed at accelerating implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Green Economy Modelling Training Session in Senegal

The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) supported an integrated policy modeling training session in Senegal recently. The training was based on the Millennium Institute's Threshold 21 SDG model (T21-iSDG), a tool used to support green economy policy development by predicting the effects of policy interventions throughout the national economy. 

Making more effective SDG4 investments in Cote d'Ivoire

The Millennium Institute is partnering with TRECC - Transforming Education in Cocoa Communities and the Government of Cote d'Ivoire to develop an integrated policy analysis tool analyzing education and Early Childhood Development-related policies of the Sustainable Development Goals. The project will provide an overview of what can be done to effectively achieve SDG4 targets by facilitating simulations of different scenarios.

Senegal’s Voluntary National Review highlights importance of integrated planning for the SDGs

Senegal’s VNR notes that the process of aligning the SDGs and the ‘Plan Emergent Senegal’– the policy framework to achieve sustainable development by 2035 –was conducted with technical support from the Millennium Institute, using the iSDG model customized for Senegal.

Threshold 21 Integrated Sustainable Development Goals Model

Millennium Institute is pleased to announce the release of Version 1.2 of the Integrated Sustainable Development Goals planning model (iSDG). The iSDG is a comprehensive simulation tool that generates country-specific development scenarios to show the implications of policy on a country’s progress towards the SDGs. It covers all the 17 Goals, and facilitates a better understanding of the interconnections of the goals and targets, in order to develop synergetic strategies to achieve them.
