The applicant institution is a renown local NGO that has been working with communities, youth and other similar organisations to promote film production and dissemination. They have an established network with local and international organizations whom they have been partnering with. The project seems sustainable.

The main current policy needs is quality local film content, film policy, production and distribution platforms for film.
4.2. De quelle manière les objectifs de cette proposition de projet présélectionnée répondent-ils aux besoins et aux priorités actuelles du pays en termes de politiques et/ou d’industries culturelles ?: 
The objectives of the project will compliment national cultural priorities in skills development for film production, diversification of local content. Improve market access, dissemination and distribution of local films.
4.3. Dans quelle mesure pensez-vous que cette proposition de projet présélectionnée aura un impact sur les politiques et/ou industries culturelles du pays ?: 
The project will provide an opportunity for the development of film among poor Kenyans and create employment opportunities. It will provide the linkage between culture and national development which is a priority area in the cultural policy.

Kenya is ready for expansion in film production and this project will increase the number of skilled film makers. Many youth in slum areas are jobless and there is an opportunity in this project for employment creation

One or more sections of the Application Form were not completed, namely section 4. In accordance with paragraph 15 of the Operational Guidelines for the IFCD, “All funding requests shall contain the following information: background information about the beneficiary; a brief summary of the project; a project outline; the name and address of the representative of the beneficiaries’ organization; a work schedule and time frame; measures to promote the sustainability of the proposed project; a detailed budget and information relating to the status of completion of earlier funding requests from the IFCD”. The application did not include an official document, with its translation into English or French if necessary, demonstrating that the organization is an NGO from a developing country that is a Party to the 2005 Convention.
