Description:
While developed countries in Asia are experiencing a low-level HIV epidemic prevalence is much higher in specific populations such as men who have sex with men, sex workers, and people who use drugs. Many MSM and transgender people report discrimination which limits their access to health services and many other areas such as education, employment and legal services. As part of the "Metropolitan Man Initiative" this report summarizes key findings of a situational anaylsis of community responses to sexual health and HIV among MSM and transgender people in developed Asia, using online surveys and in-depth interviews. The analysis focuses on six metropolitan areas: Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul and Busan.
