The field school will be held in the framework of an action plan for the implementation of the UCH Convention in FSM as a party to the UCH Convention (2001). The objectives of this activity are to strengthen the capacity of FSM for safeguarding UCH and to develop Chuuk as a centre for UCH safeguarding in Micronesia. The school will be held with technical assistance of the University of Guam that is an associate member of UNITWIN for maritime archaeology.
