Call for applications on assessment of the current state of the Second Buddhist Temple at Krasnaya Rechka (city of Nevaket)

UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office is seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced individuals, teams or organizations to assess the current state of the Second Buddhist Temple at Krasnaya Rechka (city of Nevaket) WH property in Kyrgyzstan and develop recommendations for conservation work on the site.

This action is organized within the framework EU/UNESCO Project: “Silk Road Heritage Corridors in Afghanistan, Central Asia and Iran – International Dimension of the European Year of Cultural Heritage”.

Implementation period: 14 May – 1 July 2019

Required qualifications/special skills or knowledge:

1. International, national and regional experts (archeologists, tangible cultural heritage specialists, architects) 2. Knowledge/expertise and experience in the field of assessment of state of conservation of WH properties and/or conservation of cultural heritage sites is essential. 3. Knowledge of the UNESCO’s 1972 World Heritage Convention and its Operational Guidelines is essential. 4. Good communication skills are essential. 5.
