Regional workshop on TVET systems for youth employability in Africa

13 May 2019

IIEP-Pôle de Dakar, LuxDev and IFEF are organizing a workshop in Nairobi on 18-20 June 2019, entitled “Improving quality management in TVET systems for the successful training-to-employment transition of Africa’s youth”. The main goal of the workshop is to contribute to the improvement of quality management in TVET systems in order to enhance the training-to-employment transition of the learners of these systems, making it more effective and sustainable. Following the success of the first Regional Workshop on Public-Private Partnerships in Vocational Training in Africa held in Dakar, March 2018, this second edition will count on the support of the European Commission's Support Facility in TVET (VET- Toolbox) and intends to mobilize various development partners.

In order to share and discuss TVET systems approaches, tools, experiences in quality for a training-to-employment transition with a large number of key actors on the continent, this regional workshop aims to bring together about a hundred representatives of 33 African countries from all regions, as well as specialized networks and the main partners of vocational training in Africa.
