Global Action Week for Education

Under the patronage of UNESCO Beirut, the Al Mabarrat Association organized, on 24 April 2018, the closing ceremony of the Global Action Week for Education (GAWE), an international annual campaign led by the Global Campaign for Education with support from UNESCO to raise awareness on the importance of education to achieve sustainable development and the commitments made by all to reach the global education goal by 2030.

UNESCO, French and Swiss experts for the safeguarding of heritage in Syria

In March 2016, UNESCO partnered with French and Swiss heritage experts from over 50 institutions to collect a total of 7 tons of materials, and donate them to professionals working for the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums of Syria. This collection will allow local staff to carry on their ongoing efforts in protecting and safeguarding cultural heritage in the country.
