Hawa Ba coordinates the media work as well as Senegal programs of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA)’s, part of the Open Society Foundations. Hawa’s work involves policy advocacy and strengthening civil society and communities’ voices for more just and inclusive societies.  She is a fierce advocate of girls’ education and for equal rights for women. Hawa is a social Anthropologist and a journalist by training.
