On 8 March 2019, the UNESCO #WIKI4WOMEN edit-a-thon invites everyone to take a few minutes of their time to create, enrich or translate Wikipedia profiles of women. Throughout the world, women continue to make significant contributions to society, yet they remain nearly invisible in the digital sphere. The global initiative, led by UNESCO and Wikimedia, is meant to honor those women who have excelled in various fields including education, science, culture, social and human sciences, or communication and information.
