#AnneFrank means that a young girl who left a diary refuses to let the world forget what the Nazis did to exterminate Jews. Her deep faith in humanity despite her peril is the light we all still carry. #Anne90

I visited the Anne Frank House with my father when I was 14. I will never forget it, the stale air, the pictures of the walls of Anne's room, the sign when you leave, "in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." Never forget.

When I finished her diary I cried, I felt sad for 2 weeks and I couldn't read any other book because of my sadness. It took me months to get over her story. What she means for me? A girl who had faith in humankind in its worst times, someone who found beauty in the darkness

Happy Birthday Anne Frank. You opened the world's eyes to the awful circumstances you & your family had to endure. Your diary is one of the best pieces of ink put to paper I've ever read. You be 90 today but, you're forever young...

Anne and I share the same birthday. I remembering reading her diary when I was a girl and being so angry about what happened to her. She was part of the reason I became interested in human rights. Anne had a beautiful voice - imagine what she could have become.

I have used Anne Frank in my classroom. She teaches us to work to our potential. She was a very talented writer. Anne Frank was born June 12, 1929. Her legacy lives on today for a new generation.

For me, she represents the estimate 1.5 million children that were murdered, and the potential that was lost with them. We will never know how much the world lost.
