(2/2) They succeed in updating all the registers to September 21 –except the one for female prisoners from the general number series– and handling them away. They wanted to ensure the facts for evidence in possible future trials. The documents were used in the Nuremberg trials.

September 13, 1944 | At 11:17 am the Allies bomb the IG Farben facilities in Dwory near the camp. In the aerial photographs the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau camps can be observed, as well as the operation of gas chambers and Crematorium IV.
