Her book had such a profound effect on me when I read it as a young girl about the same age Anne was when she wrote it. It should be required reading for generations to come. Always remember, never forget.

This coming from someone so young and who was eventually murdered is truly saying something. To say it shouldn’t happen again is an understatement: the fact that there’s still the same bigotry and hatred is frightening

Sadly all that hope for future generations was well intended but ultimately misplaced, it's almost like some groups of people just can't help but murder entire groups of people not like them or who don't see the world like them. The horror just keeps being repeated.

When marking the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings last week it made me realise yet again that at the time of Paris's liberation Anne and her family were still in hiding and the worst was yet to come 😔
