A City’s good practice towards the elimination of discrimination

Within the framework of the Coalition’s Ten Point Plan of Action, the City of Nancy offers a suicide prevention initiative aimed at vulnerable homosexual and foreign teenagers, and organises an annual meeting to bring together the network of actors working on human rights.

City Information
Nancy is a city in the north-eastern French department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, and the capital city of the province of Lorraine. The metropolitan area of Nancy had a population of 410,509 inhabitants at the 1999 census, 103,602 of whom lived in the city of Nancy proper (105,100 inhabitants in the city proper as of 2004 estimates).

Nancy has been a member of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism since 17 December 2007.
