A Parliament of the City of Literature Discussed What Will Melbourne Look Like in 2030

As part of the 10th Anniversary of Melbourne as a UNESCO Creative City of Literature, the Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature Office and the Wheeler Centre held a two-day City of Literature parliament to discuss the issues of addressing the Sustainable Development Goals, while reflecting on what Melbourne City of Literature could be and should be in 2030.
The City of Literature Parliament both offered presentations and stimulated discussion with all areas of the City of Literature invited to attend this free event. Day one of the parliament looked at the here and now of Melbourne as a City of Literature from the view point of writers, librarians, book professionals and literature leaders. Day two was focusing on vision and challenges for the future with combining new thinking with alternative viewpoints.
