Culture and Development
One of the main priorities of the UNESCO Doha office is to place culture at the core of the development policies in the countries of the GCC region. Taking into account the process of globalization, cultural diversity is becoming a reality for all, and the UNESCO Office in Doha strongly supports all efforts of stakeholders in the region to promote cultural diversity and inclusive approaches. Culture offers important benefits to social cohesion, and the synergy between various sectors in the society is necessary in order to incorporate cultural activities that promote social awareness in all relevant policies and planning.
UNESCO Doha is strongly committed to supporting the cultural development in the countries of the GCC Region, and continues to strive to optimize the cultural development through innovative projects and activities.
