Designing Common Ground | 11th International Design Biennial of Saint-Etienne

The International Design Biennial of Saint-Etienne will be celebrating its 11th edition from 21 March to 22 April 2019. Around the theme ME/YOU/NOUS: Designing common ground, the event will represent an opportunity to reflect upon the following question: How can design facilitate exchanges in proposing new connections, new spaces and services and even rethink objects?

Chinese UNESCO Creative Cities will be the guests of honour. For the first time in Europe, the past, present and future of Chinese design will be presented in a major exhibtion curated by FAN Zhe, featuring contributions from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Wuhan, UNESCO Cities of Design.
 
A Forum on "UNESCO Creative Cities - Cooperation and Impact", held on 21-22 March will gather Creative Cities of Design, policy makers and designers to discuss design as a strategic lever to build common grounds for cooperation, as well as for economic and cultural exchange.
 
Curated exhibitions, design experiences, conferences and debates will be proposed to a wide range of audience.
