Third Round of the UCCN Membership Monitoring Reports

Third Round of the UCCN Membership Monitoring Reports

When:
Thu, 02/15/2018

The 22 cities, that have joined the Network from 2010 and 2013, have submitted their Membership Monitoring Reports. Learn more about how Beijing, Bogota, Brazzaville, Chengdu, Dublin, Enghien-les-Bains, Fabriano, Graz, Hangzhou, Icheon, Jeonju, Krakow, Norwich, Östersund, Paducah, Reykjavík, Saint-Étienne, Sapporo, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney and Zahlé have been leveraging creativity for their sustainable development since their designation as UNESCO Creative Cities.

Implemented since 2015, the Membership Monitoring Reports chart progress, once every four years, of the implementation of the UCCN Mission Statement by member cities. The reports are essential to share information, evaluate the impact of the member cities’ initiatives at the local and international levels and to assess trends in fostering the role of culture and creativity as enablers of sustainable urban development. They highlight the concrete achievements of the UNESCO Creative Cities in developing effective and culture-empowered policies, strategies and initiatives, in the different creative fields. The reports also renew the engagement of the member cities through a future four-year action plan.
