Training in education system management

IIEP-PÔLE DE DAKAR TRAINS, IN EDUCATION SECTOR ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY, STAKEHOLDERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT, FINANCING AND EVALUATION OF AFRICAN EDUCATION SYSTEMS.

In partnership with the Faculté des Sciences et Technologies de l’Éducation et de la Formation (Faculty of Education and Training Science and Technology, or FASTEF) at Dakar’s Université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD), IIEP-Pôle de Dakar has offered a degree course covering the different dimensions of sector analysis since 2007. This training course, Politiques sectorielles et gestion des systèmes éducatifs (Sector Policy and Education System Management, or PSGSE), is provided in a university framework and can lead to the attribution of 60 ECTS credits, equivalent to half the credits required to obtain a Master’s degree.

The total volume of learning is over 600 hours, including:

  • 7 distance learning modules
  • 1 classroom-based module in Senegal
  • 4 thematic group sessions (3 physical in Dakar and 1 virtual)
  • 1 collaborative project and 1 personal project on country data
