An ideal sustainable city is the one that has zero carbon emission footprint on the Planet’s wellbeing. That means the city generates energy for its needs from renewable sources, such as hydro, solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass, and deposits zero non-recyclable waste into the environment.
Self-grown community leaders champion alternative financing
UNDP/GEF project provided legal support to Karyahan apa extending her lease agreement to 10 years, according to the Land Code of Turkmenistan. She can now enjoy growing fruit trees and expect good harvest to sell in the local market which will ensure sustainable income for her family.
