Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2016
La campagne de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2016 : Ensemble pour le patrimoine, qui a lieu pour la neuvième année consécutive, illustre le succès mondial de l’initiative de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial. Cette initiative a pour but de mobiliser les jeunes en faveur de la préservation et de la promotion du patrimoine mondial en ciblant leurs pairs et les communautés locales.
Grâce à la campagne de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2016, les volontaires ont de nouveau une formidable opportunité de s’investir au quotidien dans la protection d’un bien inscrit au patrimoine mondial, d’apprendre des techniques de préservation et de conservation et de participer à des échanges interculturels avec les communautés locales.
Des remarquables monuments de la Vallée de Kathmandu au Népal aux imposantes pyramides de la Cité préhispanique de Teotihuacan au Mexique, des vignes de la Juridiction de Saint-Émilion en France aux sommets vertigineux des Monts Rwenzori en Ouganda, ou encore dans les étroites ruelles de la Médina de Fès au Maroc, les volontaires locaux et internationaux de la campagne de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial 2016 participeront à des projets sur certains des sites les plus exceptionnels du monde.
Les volontaires choisiront de participer à un des 58 chantiers d’activité. Ces chantiers de jeunes se tiendront dans 53 biens inscrits au patrimoine mondial ou sites inscrits sur les listes indicatives dans 35 pays. Ils seront mis en œuvre par 47 organisations telles que des organisations locales de jeunesse, des ONG ou des autorités publiques, en collaboration avec des écoles, des universités, des institutions publiques ou privées et les gestionnaires de site.

L’initiative de Volontariat pour le patrimoine mondial est gérée par le Centre du patrimoine mondial (WHC) en collaboration avec le Comité de Coordination du Service Volontaire International (CCSVI), European Heritage Volunteers (en tant que branche de l’organisation Open Houses) et Better World.
